My name is Lizzy Spight, My background is in dance and music, from ballet, musical to contemporary dance, as a trained dancer, performer, choreographer and dance teacher for many years, before I became a Dance Movement Psychotherapist (MA), Roehampton University.
I specialise in the area of eating disorders, self harming, trauma treatment, abuse. Autism/ Asperger.
I also have extensive experience in education work, in schools, with autistic children and teenagers, challenging behaviour, family circumstances and special needs (University teaching degree in special educational needs).
In my therapy work I also include creative play and drawing as expression together with movement.
I welcome working in a multi-disciplinary team with other therapists and professionals,
and am used to working with all age groups and various backgrounds and settings.
I am a professionally registered member of ADMP UK (Association for Dance Movement Psychotherapy UK)
And a member of the ODF (Oxford Dance Forum, Oxford City Council)
