What adults say:
"Thanks so much for the thoughtful way you led this evening. It's hard to put into words what I get out of these sessions, they are definitely helpful in finding a different way of expressing feelings and emotions."
"The sessions felt good and really helped me to reflect my 'personal journey'. Thank You."
"I arranged to see Lizzy for short-term dance therapy to address a long-held anxiety. Having had lots of experience of talking therapy, I was looking for a new way to address the issue.
I felt very uncertain about what to expect. Lizzy understood this and put me at ease, offering gentle guidance through movement exercises and explorations tailored to me. We went at my pace but always with enough challenge to bring about mini 'breakthroughs' each week.
I appreciated Lizzy's supportive attitude enormously. She was sensitive to my fears and limits, and worked in a way that left me feeling empowered and enlightened about many aspects of myself. I would have no hesitation to work with Lizzy again. I found her to be a skilful, creative and intuitive practitioner. She has confirmed to me that sometimes things cannot be worked through just with words."

"I had been thinking for a while about dance/movement therapy, since I was struggling with transgenerational trauma, and had learnt that memory lodges in the body. When my symptoms got worse, with almost nightly anxiety attacks, I asked a friend for recommendations for dance/movement therapists. The first name that came up was Lizzy’s. I was pleased to see from her website that she was not just a therapist, but also in the outward-looking work of creative practice, like me. When we started therapy, I was impressed by her balance of “ordinariness” and professionalism. A warm and friendly conversation, not “therapy language” which I find distancing and frustrating, but also a good sense of boundaries. This helped me feel both welcome and secure. Working with Lizzy was empowering – it felt like collaborative work rather than having things done to me. The movement felt very natural and organic, and I felt not self conscious but rather “seen”, as well as heard. And the whole thing felt creative too. I was able to be with my emotions without feeling wrung out.
We worked at a good pace – I am goal-orientated, which Lizzy respected, while gently challenging my tendency to rush things! We’d booked an initial 6 sessions, but as we neared the end of them, Lizzy helped me to see, without any pressure, that the process wasn’t finished, and we booked another 3, which enabled me to complete the process and have tools to move forward with. I am feeling stronger and calmer, sleeping a lot better, and putting into practice on a daily basis the insights and tools I gained from therapy with Lizzy. I recommend her highly."
